In this paper, I address the issue of the possible applicability of the ideas of Karl R. Popper’s social and political philosophy in the contemporary political life of postcolonial countries. Through reference to the reception of Popper’s philosophy in Central and Eastern Europe, I argue that Popper’s writings were effective in catalysing the political wholesale transformation by undermining Marxists’ pretensions to scientific status rather than through his anti-utopian and anti-revolutionary political recommendations. In the context of attempts to apply Popper’s ideas in postcolonial countries, especially Sub-Saharan Africa, I claim that the influence of Popper’s social thought on the politics of those countries may not be as effective as expected or desired.

People who receive a cancer diagnosis, they have doubts about their past, present, and future, and are seriously challenged their relationships, their control over life, and their physical experiences. These experiences can change their sense of self. Therefore, this study was conducted to explore the experience of "sense of self" in cancer survivors. The present qualitative research used interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 people with cancer. From the implementation of interpretive phenomenological analysis on the interview texts, the general concept of "self-disruption" was discovered, which includes seven conceptual clusters: temporal disruption, highlighted body, interference in agency, individual-self disruption, over differentiation, relational-self disruption, painful emotional experiences. With these results, it can be concluded that in the exposure of cancer, different dimensions of sense of self are damaged and disrupted, and its severity affects the patients' adaptation. These findings indicate that cancer survivors need to reconstruction their sense of self, and it should be considered by cancer-related service providers.

Objective: Today, the fans are one of the most important factors affecting the success of sports clubs. It seems necessary to consider the behavioral Intentions of fans and determine the factors affecting their behavioral tendencies. However, this study aimed to determine the experiential marketing dimensions affecting behavioral Intentions of fans. Methodology: This was descriptive-correlation survey study. The population consisted of all students who were the fans of Iran’ s Football League clubs. the sample was selected from among students who were the fans of Iran’ s Premier League teams at Tehran University; 388 students answered the questionnaires. The Rezaei et al. ’ s Experiential Marketing Questionnaire (2015) and Yoshida and James’ s Behavioral Tendencies Questionnaire (2010) were used as research tools. Using SMARTPLS3 software, the descriptive statistics and structural least squares equation method were used to analyze the data. Results: The findings showed that the Relate experience was the most important dimension affecting the behavioral Intentions of football fans; then, the cognitive and functional experience influenced the behavioral Intentions of fans. The perceptual and sense experience had no significant effect on behavioral Intentions of fans. Conclusion: Based on findings, it was recommended to football club managers and sports marketers to consider solidarity, cognitive, and functional experience of fans in order to increase their behavioral Intentions.

Augmented Reality (AR) has introduced new forms of interaction and presentation in mobile applications. Mobile games have also taken the advantages of this technology to implement novel techniques for interaction between players and game objects. This paper aims to study the effect of AR technology on the sense of immersion and quality of experience in mobile games. In particular, we compare Virtual Reality (VR) camera with AR camera in terms of enhancing the sense of immersion and quality of experience in mobile games. A comprehensive user study is performed to find if there is a significant difference in the sense of immersion between the players using these different cameras. We also analyze how the quality of experience is affected by this parameter.

Cultural festivals have an important role in the tourism industry and recognition of the factors affecting their success is important. Hence, In this research, the effect of the variables of sense of community, emotional experience, and extroversion on tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty in cultural festivals were examined. in this regard, 394 questionnaires were distributed among tourists of the Nowruz festival in Milad Tower, in Tehran, and examined, then. The results showed sense of community is a direct predictor of loyalty, and satisfaction still has the greatest impact on loyalty. Also, The relationship between extraversion and positive emotional experience was confirmed. In indirect ways, positive emotional experience through satisfaction has the greatest impact on loyalty. The results of this study could help marketing managers and festival organizers manage events better and gain more tourists’ satisfaction and loyalty
